Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "November Solitude". I found myself at the easel on Thanksgiving morning, after a beautiful soft rain (which is always a blessing in the desert). It seemed like the clouds were somehow different that day, and perhaps carried a bit of magic that poured out right on to my painting. It is hard to capture the depth in this painting with a photograph, the subtle ridges and texture are absolutely captivating!
