Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Reverie Pom Poms" is rooted in mark making, and a very gestural type line drawing. Poms began with an experimental backdrop of randomly applied spray paint. As I stepped back to see the spray paint pattern, I felt that it suggested the traditional headdress of a Geisha. As you can imagine, it progressed from there and blended in to a bit of a nod to one of my favorite artists Egon Schiele. Art is always a journey, and frequently full of surprises.
