Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Savior" was originally meant to be a figurative piece, portraying a moment in the past captured in a photograph. The initial sketch had 3 figures, then I paired it down to two figures. After a number of revisions, it still seemed to be lacking something. I turned toward the idea of letting the paint flow and go where it may. Savior debuted in a completely different hemisphere, and I have to say it was worth the effort! The end result I feel has bit of Outsider style, and the emotional impact of RAW art with a definite modern twist.
