Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. When creating "I Declare War", I was focusing on fashion illustration, my current inspiration at the time. The original sketch got away from me and didn't seem to be working, so it became a different piece all together. Heavy dripping in the background with vivid neon pink, along with scribbles in pink acrylic marker of lyrics from a song that was running through my head. If you look closely, you will see alphabet letters slightly raised in the white paint as well. What a transformation from the original idea. Such is the life of an artist! Created 2018
