We can't really figure out why, but it draws us into the piece sometimes for a moment, sometimes much longer. In this particular piece, I love the blue loop / scribble that brings hovers over the right side of her face. You may wonder why the rendition in the 2nd photo didn't last, and I am wondering that same thing too! Sometimes you just can't explain the mystery, you just have to follow the intuition.
