Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Artificial Success". I find my self heading back to a painting style that I have always been in love with. Expressive figurative painting. The style is almost playful with no adherence to rules, carried by gestural and expressive lines. It is more like capturing the "essence" of the subject rather than recreating a realistic facsimile. I find it liberating to be so free with paint and form, and always challenging. Being a creative is a wild ride sometimes! Created: 2022.
