Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn, "Fifty Revisited". There was a time when I used a palette knife for my paintings, applying thick, heavy layers of paint. It is a very gestural style, impulsive and very conducive to creativity. Fifty Revisited features shades of emerald green, with pops of bright pink and orange that keep drawing the eye back in toward the figure.
