Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Queen of Hearts" features a black bird with long legs and an over sized crown adorned with hearts. Birds are frequent topics in my paintings, thanks in no small part to a cockatiel name Ozzie. She was a character for sure! I enjoy creating their narrative, and love the abstracting and exaggerating their features. Creation date 2020.
