Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Agents of Transformation". You might have heard me mention that sometimes the title comes before the painting, and that I keep a list of phrases and words that are of interest to me. I feel like it was a little bit of both in this case. I let these three beings come forward and transform what felt like a rather static piece into something that was much more dynamic. They created a narrative drawn from an alternate universe, one of intrigue and mystery. At least that is how I see it, and who doesn't love a good mystery novel?
Please note the third photo is one of the stages where this piece was (which I refer to as rather static in nature) before it finally landed here. Many layers, as well as compositional modifications were involved in this creation process.
