Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Common Denominator" often defined by "a feature shared by all members of a group." As a collective group, we experienced a rocky road in 2020 complete with hairpin turns, and a whole lot of nail biting! In response to those tumultuous events and emotions, I wanted to capture the feeling of something rare, uniquely comforting and serene. The colors are soft and flowing in this painting, her gaze is full of light as she welcomes the new year and a new path forward. Created: 2021.
