Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "I Am Not A Square" has a very subtle creamy color (unbleached titanium it is often called) background, which only accentuates and gives pop to the yellow clad model. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut, as artists and humans. While I was creating this piece, it occurred to me that I didn't have to "paint" a certain way. Of course, that prompted the title because we, after all, are not squares! Humor, of course, always helps during these creative-block type moments. Created 2018
