Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn, "The Image of Ourselves." Switching back and forth between a graphic figurative style and an abstract style provides a certain type of artistic freedom. If one style feels heavy and overworked, I allow myself to move into a different space. I believe it helps me evolve with each new creation, and it keeps things fresh. Please note the 2nd photo is one of the prior stages of creation.
